We Praise God that He enabled MPM with the help of the churches of Nav Jeevan Presbytery in North India to take help into the troubled parts of Orissa. Rev. Hiwale traveled with two pastors from Kandamal and Raipur. In our visit to the believers in Orissa we were able to do the following.. please take a look at the matter below the picture. Thanks:

 

Prayers:

It was amazing to seem that people who have lost  their loved ones, houses, cattle, land, Bibles, place of worship and friends have not lost their faith in Jesus our Lord. As i called them for prayers they crowded around and sincerely prayed… some thanked God, some asked him to grant them strength… There was big amen to all the prayers.

Material Help:

We have some clothing, some utensils of steel and mats.

Counseling:

Some of the elderly men and women have lost their “kind of sense” and were not in any position to answer any of our question.  In this time prayers are just blank talk to such people and they needed touch of love and hand of comfort. We were able to sit down with them and just made it possible for these people to see that there is hope in trusting in the Lord as we shared with them that there are churches who are praying for them and are willing to give the helping hand at this time of trouble.  

Friendship:

We some young people along in the refugee camps for a walk, singing some hymns in Hindi. Asked these men to be in touch and gave our contact numbers, took their possible contact numbers and assured that we will see them more often till they are recovered from this time of trouble and more…
